Spain Trip: Hola Bacelona and Font Magica de Montjuic

My travelling partner is a fan of Barcelona Footbal Club (FC), so the original idea to have a trip Barcelona was to visit Camp Nou, the stadium of Barcelona FC. I thought we had to go to the stadium first to get to the official store of Barcelona FC, but I was wrong. Even after we landed in Barcelona from Paris, one of the duty free shop that we could easily spot at the airport was FCBotiga. Botiga means store in spanish and Barcelona FC usually mentioned as FCB, so they combined the FCB and the Botiga word to become "FCBotiga".

At first we planned to take train to our hotel at Placa de Catalunya, but since we suddenly found out that taking bus from the airport to Placa de Catalunya was so easy, then we changed our plan. After taking our baggages we just need to follow the sign and then we arrived at the bus stop. The bus was comfortable and completed with free wifi. The plus side if you taking the bus (instead of train/metro) is you can see the view of the city during the journey.

After arriving at Placa de Catalunya, we checked in at Ginebra Hotel. The hotel location is very strategic and the price was also more affordable compared to other hotel around Placa de Catalunya. The best thing about our hotel was the balcony that was enabled us to enjoy the view of Placa de Catalunya. We also got free champagne from the hotel as complimentary.

Finish with the checked in and stuffs, we decided to go to magic fountain or also known as Font Magica of Montjuic using metro. We decided to bought Barcelona 2 Days Pass to make us easier in travelling using metro. One important thing to be note is you should ensure you put the pass in the place that won't make it folded. Because once it's folded, then you should go to the ticketing office and ask for the replacement.

It was Saturday night, so many people came to Font Magica. The magic fountain show time is 19.00-20.30 continuously, so you just need to come and enjoy the show. We were hungry at that time, so we decided to bought hot dog and coke. There are plenty store nearby the fountain, so we just picked one of them.

After filling our stomach, we wait for the show to start and then enjoy it from our spot. I guess you don't need to get too close to the fountain since the water will give you some splashes. Besides enjoying the fountain, I could also see the  at the background. I guess the lightning that made the museum looks this majestic at night.

The magic fountain was really good in my opinion, the water flowing so high and the music was great too. When we walked back to the metro station, the was crowd with music and clapping hands. We came over there and saw some dance battles was happening there. We decided not to go closer to the crowd, since my friend suggested me to avoid crowd if I don't want to be a scam victim during my euro trip, and decided to going back to the hotel to prepare the energy for our journey in Barcelona in the next day.
